Karen was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and raised in Durango, Mexico. Karen pursued her dream as an attorney by graduating from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, Mexico, in 2017 and ranking 3rd place academically. She also completed a Forensics Seminar from the Suprema Corte de Justicia de La Nación in Mexico. While studying, she worked at City Hall in Parral, Chihuahua, in the Treasury Department and later worked in a private law firm practicing civil and family law.

In 2018, she returned to the U.S. and ventured into immigration law. She has worked as an immigration paralegal for the past five years, and she finds great fulfillment in assisting families to remain together, aside from the joy of helping others pursue their American dream. Karen is very active and energetic; her favorite activities include boxing weightlifting, and she is a passionate crocheter.
